Glaswegians certainly know
how to enjoy themselves. Glasgow has over 50 clubs and that's as well
as the 100 or so bars. There is something for everyone from traditional
pubs selling real ales to unique theme bars. Glasgow is now one of
the liveliest and most cosmopolitan destinations in Europe. The city
has been reborn as a centre of style and vitality, made more alluring
by its backdrop of grand architecture. As well as pubs and clubs,
Glasgow has a wide variety of restaurants for all different tastes
from café bars to fine dining.
Glasgow is certainly not short on nightclubs and has one of the best
dance scenes in Europe. Many of the world's best DJs often guest in
the city and the club scene is definitely a 24/7 phenomenon. However,
as in every City, clubs come and go.
Far too many to mention, there is a great selection that almost always
seem to attract a solid bunch of thirsty people. Many 'style' bars
offer happy hours and drink promotions midweek so it is always worth
indulging in a spot of bar hopping, of course best not to overindulge
too much!
When eating out in Glasgow, you'll be spoiled for choice; you could
eat your way around the world in the City. Whether it's traditional
pub grub, Indian, Chinese or something more unique from the sushi
bars in the Merchant City to the restaurants and brasseries in the
West End you'll find something to savour. The City's café society
gives a strong cosmopolitan feel with Glasgow's restaurants covering
the complete style and taste spectrum from traditional Scottish fayre
to the very latest 21st Century fusion.
Serious clubbers can enjoy nights at The Arches, Sub Club, Alaska
and Yang amongst others. Fans of live music will enjoy The Barrowlands,
The Garage, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and many more. For something a
little different try our Stylish, sci-fi style bar and eating place
that's become a must see venue, Air Organic, where business types
in suits flock during the day but make way for night owls after dark.
Or if you prefer something more A-list, try The Corinthian, three
bars in one, piano and cocktail lounge, restaurant and exclusive members
only bar.
For something more old style, The Horse Shoe Bar in Drury Street Glasgow,
is perfect. A great slice of Glasgow, with real ale, good food and
great prices. Upstairs is the Karaoke Capital where you can enjoy
a singsong and take in the great atmosphere.
Whether your clubbing, eating out, or simply having a quiet glass
of wine, you will find somewhere perfect for you in the heart of Glasgow.
