The Citizens Theatre in Glasgow
A stunning theatre situated
in the South Side of the city in a spectacular Victorian building.
A Scottish playwright, James Bridie, founded the theatre around 1943.
Although on first impression the theatre looks very small there is
seating for almost 600 in the auditorium.
The Theatres aim is to provide a wealth of entertainment, with a great
range and variety in what is on offer to the City of Glasgow and it's
people. The building underwent refurbishment a few years ago and with
this came an additional two smaller studio theatres.
The Citizens aim is to provide as much information and make the theatre
experience as enjoyable as possible for every visitor. With this in
mind, you are provided with a complimentary program to every show,
ticket prices are great value for money and you can also enjoy a free
taster of each production.
You can enjoy classic shows and the most up to date productions. The
theatre is very easy to reach with public transport regularly running
or perhaps if you have your own vehicle you can make full use of the
